Description : General summary :

The Sr. Enterprise Architect is responsible for the technical governance and delivery of enterprise systems and programs. Responsibilities will include improving the current IT architecture, optimizing business operations, and setting the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs.

This position plays a key role in shaping the technology strategy by applying expertise in strategic analysis, business architecture, and technology architecture. This person will seek to understand how people, processes, and technology interact to perform the fundamental activities of the business in both current and future states and model these interactions to guide technology strategy to better achieve the company’s strategic goals and objectives. They will drive the evolution of infrastructure, processes, products, and services by convincing decision makers. They will also compile, deliver, and evangelize end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide the evolution of infrastructure, products, and services by applying depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines.

Essential job functions :

  • Create a business systems architecture model to align with the organization’s strategies and goals.
  • Evaluate internal functions, business strategies, and IT processes to develop improvements.
  • Facilitate group sessions and model graphical representations and abstractions.
  • Suggest ideas to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain current knowledge of modern IT systems and business trends.
  • Compile, deliver, and evangelize end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide infrastructure, products, and services.
  • Develop and deliver architectural guardrails; influence stakeholders and ensure compliance with these standards.
  • Drive the evolution of infrastructure, processes, products, and services by convincing decision-makers and ensuring alignment with architectural goals.
  • Mentor team members on best practices and identify training opportunities to promote bench strength.
  • Drive high-level solution design and ensure quality, consistency, and alignment of designs.
  • Develop proofs-of-concept and prototypes to illustrate approaches to technology and business problems.
  • Define an architecture that optimizes flexibility, re-use, scalability, performance, and availability.
  • Partner with Developers on new tools and systems until they take on ownership.
  • Provide clear and actionable feedback on data quality, design paradigms, and implementation approaches.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify value propositions, go-to-market strategies, and product / technology roadmaps.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and make trade-offs to balance business needs with technical constraints.

  • Full spectrum end-to-end knowledge of technology to design solutions using various technologies with organizational support.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and other enterprise architects to define architecture domains, assess business needs, and align IT investments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various technology aspects including Hybrid Cloud Technologies, SaaS based ERP / CRM / MRP, Converged & Software-Defined Infrastructure, Data Center Migration, Network & Security, and Disaster Recovery.
  • Experience in developing high-level and low-level designs across Data Centers, Hybrid Cloud, End-user computing and Business Service Management Technologies.
  • Ability to translate IT strategic plans into design and implementation of applications and technology.
  • Experience creating design documents and sequence diagrams – High Level System Design (HLSD).
  • Experience modeling as-is and to-be architectures based on business requirements.
  • Experience delivering executive-ready communications and presenting ideas to leadership.
  • Background in leading conversion / integration programs.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Conceptual and analytical thinker with the ability to extract, analyze, and document complex requirements with both business and technical teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good leadership and motivational skills.
  • Education and experience :

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics or similar discipline.
  • 5+ years of overall IT experience with a focus in Enterprise Architecture
  • 3+ years of work experience with Sequence Diagrams
