Position Overview

River Brook is seeking a talented, creative, and detail-oriented

Architectural Designer

to join our Birmingham team. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to work closely with our in-house architecture, design, and construction teams on a range of high-end residential projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings technical precision and creativity to every project.

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop conceptual and detailed architectural designs for residential projects

Prepare and coordinate construction drawings, documentation, and specifications

Collaborate closely with clients, designers, and the construction team to ensure seamless project execution

Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and design deliverables

Review and interpret building codes and zoning regulations

Participate in on-site reviews, client presentations, and design meetings

Maintain consistent communication with internal teams and consultants to ensure project alignment

Uphold River Brook’s design and quality standards across all phases of the project

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field required

Minimum 2 years of architectural design experience (custom residential preferred)

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and architectural drawing software

Strong understanding of construction documentation and detailing

Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Experience in high-end residential design or renovation strongly preferred
