\n\nSUMMARY OF JOB : \n

Under the direct supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor, technologists provide high quality ultrasound examinations on various patient types for the purpose of diagnosis and / or treatment of physiologic disorders.  Our department offers  general, obstetrical and vascular services.

\n\nRECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS : \n

Formal education in a Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program

2 years experience as a sonographer in a hospital setting

• Familiarity with GE equipment a plus

Experience in General, Obstetrical and Vascular ultrasound required

RDMS credentials or eligibility required

RVT credential or eligibility required

Must be available to rotate “on call” evenings and weekends, and be available for holiday coverage

CPR certified

Basic knowledge of computers preferred

LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS :

RDMS certification (Abdomen and / or Obstetrics)

RVT certification

Must maintain 30 CME credits with three years

One hour of annual stroke education
