About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel for Commercial Transactions to join its dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding commercial and project transactions, from the initial structuring to financial close. This position demands a strategic advisor with a strong commercial mindset, capable of leading diligence and closing processes with external partners. The Senior Counsel will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of key project and commercial documents, and must have a proven track record in deal execution, including the ability to balance multiple, competing priorities. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is essential, as is the ability to provide clear, pragmatic legal advice that aligns with the company's strategic goals. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position should have a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and approximately 8 years' of transactional experience. The role requires a candidate with a strong legal foundation, document drafting expertise, and commercial judgment. While not mandatory, familiarity with the solar or broader renewable energy industry is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and effective communicator, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
