Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager to lead roadway improvement and infrastructure design projects in the Omaha area. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with project leadership while directly impacting public safety and transportation quality. In this role, you will oversee project scope, design criteria, schedules, budgets, and client relationships while guiding a team of engineers and designers.
Responsibilities :
Develop project scope, budgets, and schedules for roadway improvement projects
Lead client interaction, including proposals, agreements, and ongoing communication
Provide quality control reviews of transportation project designs and cost opinions
Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and technical staff
Ensure compliance with state and federal roadway design standards
Qualifications & Requirements :
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), or ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska
5–10 years of experience in transportation design, with project management experience preferred
Strong knowledge of state and federal roadway design standards
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
