The Department of Urology seeks to provide all patients with the best urological care. Our team strives to provide patients with comprehensive care and the latest discoveries in education and research, leading to innovative techniques and minimally invasive procedures.

Your Role on the Team

Responsible for operating and coordinating the mobile health van that delivers prostate cancer screening services in the community. Involves the clinical, research and logistical responsibilities, including performing blood draws for prostate specific antigen (PSA) testing, ensuring safe and timely transportation of equipment, and engagement with community members in screening programs. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong phlebotomy skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and a commitment to promoting community health and early cancer detection.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required :

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of campus and hospital administration staff, faculty and industry sponsors.
• Strong and proven organization and administrative skills : scheduling, data / file management, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (EXCEL), copying, phone skills, data entry.
• Experience working in a medical / clinical setting and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience in working with human subjects
• Good communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to independently compose correspondence with ability to use proper English grammar and spelling.
• Demonstrated evidence of successful multi-tasking and complex problem-solving abilities.
• HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Phlebotomy Certification required
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• BA / BS and 2-3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in phlebotomy and / or community health preferred
