Registered Nurse - Nursery

Nursery / Post-Partum Level III RN - Required Certifications : CA RN License BLS NRP Experience : - 2+ years RN Nursery Experience, in Level II or Level III NICU - 6 months to 1 year experience Mother / Baby Couplet care or Post-partum - Experience attending delivers and with neonatal resuscitation - Travel experience - 6 months Education : BSN Weekend Requirement : Every Other Weekend On-Call : As Needed Duties : -Assesses patient's conditions, develops individual care plans for patients, and evaluates the effectiveness of the care plan. -Coordinates the delivery of patient care for a group of patients; directs and delegates patient care assignment to colleagues through collaboration. -Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other disciplines as required and adjusts the nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. -Maintains documentation in the patient record. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients / families in accordance with hospital and nursing standards. -Participates in continuous quality improvement activities. -Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops. -Demonstrates sensitivity to patient's comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress. Prepares patients for scheduled procedures to assist in patient assessment. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
