Join Our Team as a Surgical Technologist I - General Specialty!

We invite you to explore an exciting opportunity with us at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin, known for its pioneering heart-care team and a commitment to innovative patient care. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in our surgical team by providing exceptional assistance and ensuring a safe and sterile environment for our patients.

Key Details :

  • Shift : 2nd (Evening)
  • Hours : Full-time, 40 hours per week with 8 or 10-hour shifts and call responsibilities
  • Pay Range : $26.10 - $39.15
  • Location : Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215
  • Sign-on Bonus : Eligible for $10,000 plus an additional $2,000 for PM Shifts

    • Your Role and Responsibilities :

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for optimal patient care.
  • Utilize aseptic surgical techniques in preparing materials and instruments for surgical procedures.
  • Set up and organize the operating room, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Assist in various procedures and act as a Second Assistant when necessary.
  • Transport patients and ensure the readiness of surgical specialty carts.

    • Qualifications :

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months.
  • No prior experience necessary, we welcome new graduates!

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, and perform various physical activities during shifts.
  • Exposure to mechanical, chemical, and biological hazards, along with the required use of PPE.
