Parsons is looking for a talented Configuration Manager to join our growing team! As a member of the Space Operations Systems & Services (SOSS) team, you will collaborate with Parsons colleagues, partners, and key stakeholders such as the U.S. Space Force. Your role will involve developing and maintaining Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) activities to support Ground Station Operations Center constructs, and Parsons on-premises labs. You will work closely with Senior Management, commercial product owners / vendors, Program Managers, Quality Assurance personnel, and technical and cyber professionals to foster a robust CM culture. Your focus will be to establish and maintain essential CM / DM activities across multiple aspects of respective programs efficiently, effectively, and safely. This role requires the development of CM / DM processes and artifacts in line with best practices. You will plan and document program CM activities, collect CM-related measurements and reports, and maintain the hardware, software, and baseline history of the programs. The ideal candidate will possess leadership and CM experience and the knowledge to perform these tasks effectively.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and implement configuration management strategies, processes, and procedures.
• Maintain configuration control of software, hardware, and network components across the organization.
• Create and maintain configuration baselines throughout the entire lifecycle, ensuring all changes are documented and compliant with established policies.
• Collaborate with IT, development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of configuration management practices.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of configuration settings to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure that configuration management tools and practices remain effective and scalable as organizational needs evolve.
• Provide training and support to staff on configuration management processes and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to configuration management.
• Perform knowledge management functions to ensure documentation is maintained in a functional format.
• Manage software and hardware purchasing, both new and renewals.
• Maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensure it is accurate and up to date.
• Manage and control changes to Configuration Items (CIs), ensuring that all modifications are properly authorized and documented.
• Develop and implement change management processes and procedures to minimize disruptions and risks.

Security Clearance Requirement : An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position. This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
