Reporting to the VP of Quality Assurance, Director of Quality Assurance, Quality Assurance program Lead, Quality Assurance Team Lead – Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for performing day-to-day quality assurance activities such as inspections, internal audits, recommending corrective actions, research, and reports, all within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

In this position, you will work in a team environment led by a Quality Assurance Team Leader. You will support your Quality Assurance Team Leader by demonstrating and practicing teamwork every day and respecting all your fellow Team Members.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Food safety programs, Health, and Safety programs, All FGF policies, programs or procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (food / bakery experience is desirable).
  • Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issue.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of food safety (HACCP) programs, GMP programs and Quality Systems
  • Experience with BRC an asset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English with all levels of the organization.
  • Physically capable of performing the demands of the role.
  • Ability to move from one task to another with minimal distraction.
  • 1-2 years' work experience with GMP's, HACCP and BRC (food manufacturing preferred)

    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

    Vision (Near, Distance, Peripheral, Depth Perception, etc.) Sense of Sound (any safety related equipment)

    Sense of Touch (texture, temperature, pressure, etc.)

    Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    Ability to remain physically active throughout an entire 12hour shift.
