Job Title : Test Operator Server Hardware

Location : Fremont, Ca

Job Type : Full-Time

Job Summary :

Seeking a detail-oriented individual to support server hardware testing operations in a manufacturing environment. This role involves following standard procedures to execute and monitor test processes, ensure equipment readiness, and support issue resolution. Must be able to follow ESD and 5S policies, maintain a clean work environment, and communicate effectively with team leads and engineering staff.

Key Responsibilities :

Follow ESD policies and maintain compliance throughout all work activities
Understand test processes, test flow, and cycle times by model and stage
Perform test operations according to standard operating procedures (SOP)
Set up and configure servers / racks to begin testing stage by stage
Monitor testing progress and identify test failures or hangs

Failure Handling Procedures :

Test Failures :

Re-test servers listed by Test Engineering (TE)

Document failure symptoms for unlisted servers and deliver to debug station

Recheck repaired servers into the system and restart full test cycle

Test Hangs :

Identify stalled servers using test monitoring tools

For Hang_up or Test_not_run statuses : perform power cycle and continue test

If server tests pass but monitoring status is not updated, escalate to Line Leader or TE

Post-Test Actions :

Move passed servers / racks to packaging area

Check in new servers / racks promptly into open test slots

Issue Reporting & Escalation :

Follow SOP for individual failures

Report repeat failures (3+ of same issue on same rack) to Line Leader or TE immediately

Follow up within 1 hour if no corrective action is provided

Additional Responsibilities :

Maintain workstation cleanliness in accordance with 5S policies

Ensure all servers are maintained in a healthy test state

Follow instructions provided by supervisors or leads

Qualifications :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience : Not required; training will be provided

Skills :

Basic computer and electronics knowledge required

Strong attention to detail

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

English proficiency preferred (verbal and written)

Physical Requirements :

Ability to stand, bend, and lift servers (up to [insert appropriate weight] lbs) as needed

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technical environment
