job_description.job_card.job_descriptionReliable attendance and teamwork are essential Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong attention to detail and precision measuring Read tape measures to 1 / 8”, 1 / 16”, and 1 / 32” increments Convert feet to inches and fractions to decimals Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (temperatures may range from 20°F to 102°F) 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent training Proficiency with basic fabrication tools (tape measure, calipers, protractors, etc.) Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions High school diploma or GED Experience operating CNC cutting machines, press brakes, drills, or saws Ability to run one fabrication machine with minimal supervision and few quality defects Enjoys working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment Physical Demands : Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 80 lbs.), bending, reaching, and repetitive motion Environment : Exposure to noise, dust, and temperature extremes Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 a.m.–3 : 30 or 4 : 30 p.m. (occasional half-day Saturday and mandatory overtime; typical 46-hour week) Pay : $20-$26 / hr Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection must be worn at all times Dark-colored shirt (black, blue, or red) required — no vulgar or offensive graphics
Shear Press Operator
Position Summary :
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shear Press Operator to join our client's fabrication team in Archdale. The ideal candidate is a hard-working individual with strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a shear press machine
- Follow work orders, blueprints, and supervisor instructions
- Measure, mark, and cut sheet metal accurately
- Use power and hand tools safely and effectively
- Lift and handle materials up to 80 lbs. independently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Assist other team members and departments as needed
