High School STEM Physics Teacher

Local girls' high school is seeking a Physics / STEM Instructor to join our dedicated faculty team. We’re looking for an educator who brings creativity, enthusiasm, and strong technical skills to help students connect scientific concepts with real-world applications. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach motivated high school students in a supportive, small-school environment that values innovation and hands-on learning.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be able to teach core physics concepts while incorporating project-based and inquiry-based learning. The instructor will mentor students in experimentation, design, and critical thinking, and may guide them in competitions or research experiences.

Requirements

Strong background in Physics or a related STEM field

Familiarity with microcontroller programming and circuitry (Arduino preferred)

Ability to use technology and digital tools to enhance instruction

Ability to mentor students in STEM competitions or capstone projects

Enthusiasm for mentoring and inspiring students through hands-on experiences

Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required)

Familiarity with 3D printing, preferably Bambu Lab printers

Experience with data acquisition and sensor-based experiments in physics education

Schedule & Compensation

Approximately 4 periods per week (schedule flexible)

Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
