General Summary of Position
Leads and supports strategic projects that drive transformation through innovative initiatives. Manages complex, cross-functional initiatives by identifying opportunities, developing solutions, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Working closely with teams across the organization, supports changes in people, process, and technology to advance care delivery, operations, patient / clinician experience, and more. The ideal candidate has a strong background in health care, project management, and change leadership, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Drives achievement of strategic innovation goals by aligning project execution with departmental objectives, organizational priorities, and regulatory standards. Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, quality benchmarks, and accreditation requirements.
- Cultivates and strengthens high-impact relationships across clinical, operational, and technical teams to accelerate innovation and ensure alignment with enterprise transformation goals.
- Leads project and engagement post-mortem evaluations to extract insights, assess outcomes, and generates actionable recommendations that inform future innovation strategies.
- Oversees project planning and internal and external stakeholder alignment to ensure the right resources, expertise, and capacity are in place to deliver on complex, high-value initiatives.
- Develops and communicates comprehensive project strategies, including timelines, milestones, vendor / partner accountability, and stakeholder engagement plans, tailored to the unique needs of each initiative.
- Provides leadership of innovation projects, from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with goals and measurable impact on the business.
- Serves as a strategic liaison and trusted advisor, ensuring timely, transparent, and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, including executive sponsors. Produces and shares high-caliber progress and results reports, proposals, and other necessary documentation.
- Anticipates and manages project risks and interdependencies, using data and systems thinking to proactively address barriers and ensure successful delivery.
- Leads change management efforts, including scope refinement, contingency planning, and success metrics definition, to ensure sustainable adoption and long-term value realization.
- Sets clear expectations and empowers and supports cross-functional teams, providing guidance, proactively addresses challenges, and ensuring accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Represents the Innovation Institute across internal and external forums, contributing to enterprise-wide improvement efforts and positioning the organization as a leader in healthcare delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in related field required andMaster's degree in related field preferredExperience
8-10 years Significant work experience in project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution. required andExperience working effectively with patient safety officers, risk management teams, other leaders and front-line staff required andExperience in working within a team environment as a member, facilitator, and process manager required andWorking knowledge of various safety program operations, processes, and policies; demonstrated understanding of performance improvement mechanisms and data collection; proven record of managing projects to successful completion required andExperience leading work with outside vendors / partners preferredLicenses and Certifications
