The Tax Supervisor Role

Assist the Tax Manager in ensuring that NSK Corporation and related companies in the Americas region are in compliance with all governmental tax laws. Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of all required federal, state, and local tax returns. Assist in the preparation and review of all tax information required for financial reporting purposes. Responsibilities include foreign, federal, state, and local tax return filings, determining opportunities for tax reduction and / or refunds, research of domestic and international tax issues, assisting with internal and external audits, and participating in the month end and year end closing process.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or reviews foreign, federal, state, and local tax returns including property tax returns, sales / use tax returns, and federal, state, and municipal returns, extensions, and quarterly payments.
• Prepares tax provision schedules by reviewing, preparing, and consolidating provision schedules.
• Recommend tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues.
• Maintains and updates legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised laws.
• Maintains compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities.
• Maintains tax balance in general ledger.
• Assists with internal / external audits.
• Identifies tax saving opportunities and process / technology improvements.
• Responds to notices and correspondence received from tax authorities.
• This position may require travel up to 10%.
• This is a hybrid position.
