Job Summary / Description

Broadcast Engineer providing maintenance and repair of the television broadcast facility, and a Technical Media Producer. Coding of Television News broadcast, as well as Master Control Operation, and IT support for the television station.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production switchers and all associated technical equipment in a Production Control Room and / or Live Location environment during live game and / or studio broadcast productions.
• Orchestrate control room setup while evaluating and assigning all video inputs, considering timing and video levels.
• Collaborate with the Producer to execute the technical and artistic vision for each live newscast and / or studio production.
• Lead the technical portion of the production team during setup and coordinate equipment and show elements as they pass through the production switcher.
• Collaborate with traffic and HUB entities to verify video and audio signals are routed correctly and reach final destinations. During live / studio broadcasts, recall video sources, transitions, and effects, and route monitors as instructed by Producers.
• Continuously monitor all sources used during production to ensure video levels are correct and in timing, including external feeds.
• Handle the pressures of live programming and time-constrained environments.
