Area Delivery Leader - Telecommunications, Media and Gaming
Area Delivery Leader (ADL) with a passion for delivering AI First solutions, customer business value and a proven ability to drive innovation and high-quality delivery of services for our valued customers. The ADL is responsible for leading an AI First consulting organization ensuring sustained high-quality delivery and profitability, with a focus on customer engagement and time to value. You will be part of Microsoft’s AI consulting transformation – bringing faster results and value to our clients through AI tooling. You will partner with other areas of Microsoft to drive impact for clients from Microsoft products. You will be responsible for business strategy and financial results while aligning to customer and operating unit objectives. You will also focus on the organisation’s Delivery Management priorities including customer satisfaction, capacity management / workforce planning, deal proposals, quality pursuits, quality delivery, and executive stakeholder management.
The role offers a remote work arrangement, with 0 days / week in-office, and requires travel (25–50%) to customer sites.

Responsibilities
AI First Consulting : Leverage AI within business operations and IT delivery for efficiency and speed to value. Demonstrate a passion for learning and growing AI skillsets and a curious mindset toward AI and transforming existing approaches.
People Management : Manage through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.

Consulting Market Planning & Execution : Develop and execute comprehensive Consulting market plans for a mid-size geography aligned to global strategy; articulate value proposition within the Microsoft partner ecosystem; drive solution, sales planning and portfolio management that stay on strategy; align to broader Microsoft portfolio imperatives.
Establishes and drives orchestration across Enterprise Operating Unit (EOU) on strategic accounts; set goals for roles in driving customer adoption across three clouds; establish rhythms to facilitate collaboration on strategic, top-tier and consumption goals.
Grow relationship management across a broad portfolio of top customers with an integrated One Enterprise approach; establish regular cadence with CXOs and, where appropriate, CEOs.
Drives sales strategy and revenue generation including consumption, renewals and margins in a solution selling environment; monitor pipeline, pre-sales, staffing, and forecasting; balance customer, Microsoft and team objectives for sustainable growth.
Provide advice and coaching on leveraging company processes, assets and IP for digital transformation, deal design, project delivery and Support services; participate in project governance to advocate for customer and Microsoft delivery excellence.
Drive execution of Consulting business through a cadence of accountability; define quarterly objectives and track progress; collaborate with broader Microsoft teams as needed.
Operational & Business Excellence
Drive execution excellence through rhythm of the business; optimize processes; drive tool adoption; balance short-term and long-term success; ensure policy compliance.
Provide inputs to regional and Enterprise Consulting reviews, priority setting and annual business planning for a midsize geography; manage regional / global resources and design / manage Consulting P&L.
Establish and monitor local budgets for a midsize geography to drive revenue targets; manage P&Ls for the Consulting organization; influence top-line revenue and company priorities.
Ensure positive customer experience from planning through execution; identify opportunities for resource optimization and process improvement; track customer experience trends.
Leadership
Build organizational and people capability through coaching, engagement and talent management for a team of direct report leaders; advocate learning culture and capabilities as key success factors.
Create and execute talent agenda in partnership with HR; facilitate talent movement across organizations; recognize talent and create opportunity.
Foster an inclusive environment; champion diversity and inclusion strategies within the Consulting organization.

Qualifications
Required / minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years technology-related, business, professional services, consulting, and sales experience. OR equivalent experience.
8+ years of team leadership or people management experience (with or without direct reports) OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 15+ years technology-related, business, professional services, consulting, and sales experience OR equivalent experience.
15+ years experience in sales / selling.
10+ years people management experience, including leading managers of managers in a matrixed environment.
8+ years experience within Telecom, Media and Gaming.
Experience with AI technology usage and implementation.
8+ years project management and delivery oversight experience for complex, enterprise customers with CXO-level visibility.
4+ years account management experience.
Consulting Practice Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $153,400 - $268,800 per year. There is a different range for the San Francisco Bay Area and NYC metropolitan area : USD $192,000 - $288,000 per year.
