Patient Advocate at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth :

  • The patient advocate has the responsibility acting as a liaison between the patients’ family and the nursing staff for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Outpatient Center. It is his / her responsibility to know where a patient is in the system and to keep the family members informed of the patient’s progress.

  • Experience in Public Relations, medical office, patient relations, scheduling a plus

    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Good organization habits.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery process and management of the flow of the surgical patient.
  • Ability to utilize Electronic Health Care Record for patient documentation.
  • Performs effectively in stressful situations to fulfill position responsibilities.
  • Able to communicate effectively with patients’ families.
  • Able to communicate appropriate information from the doctors and nursing staff.
