Essential Job Duties :
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director for Utility Systems to lead the operations and maintenance of underground utility systems at NC State University. This role provides supervision, leadership, and technical expertise to the Utilities Distribution (UD) Shop and is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of systems including domestic water, steam / condensate, chilled water, sanitary / storm sewer, and natural gas. In addition, this position oversees the 811 Utility Locating Program and the GIS / AutoCAD functions for the Utilities & Engineering unit. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of NC State’s utility infrastructure. Minimum Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree in the Engineering discipline related to the area of assignment and two years of related Engineering experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
