Job Description :

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Substitutes to join our team. The ideal candidates will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, alongside a teaching team. This role is essential in maintaining the continuity of care and education for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care
  • Assist with daily routines, including meals, nap times, and playtime
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
  • Implement lesson plans and activities as directed by regular staff
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in childcare or a related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Basic knowledge of child development principles
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus

    Requirements :

  • CDA, associate or bachelor's in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
  • CPR / First Aid
  • Current TB Test
  • Current Physical
  • Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children, co-workers and families
  • Sensitive to the individual needs of families
  • Ability to communicate with families effectively
  • Ability to supervise variety of staff
  • Knowledge of rules, regulations and standards
  • Knowledge of child development
  • Ability to provide appropriate guidance
  • Ability to seek supervision and use it constructively
  • Evidence of emotional maturity and stability
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Evidence of sufficient judgment to handle crisis situations
