About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational leadership of its multifamily real estate portfolio. The COO will be responsible for overseeing all multifamily operations, ensuring operational consistency, and implementing performance standards and KPIs. This includes property management, maintenance, and leasing functions, with a focus on driving profitability, and portfolio optimization, and analyzing market trends to inform business strategy. The successful candidate will also be tasked with financial oversight, team leadership, technology and process optimization, and compliance and risk management.

Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, finance, or a related field, with an MBA preferred. A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive multifamily property management or real estate operations experience is required, along with a proven track record of leading large, geographically dispersed teams and portfolios. The role demands a leader with strong financial acumen, excellent communication, and change management skills, and experience with property management systems. Key performance indicators for the role include portfolio NOI growth, occupancy and rent growth metrics, resident satisfaction scores, expense control, and employee retention and engagement metrics. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence, and will be instrumental in the company's digital transformation initiatives.
