Job Duties

The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Health Care Analyst in the Integrated Care Division.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

To provide guidance, administrative, and technical expertise in the development of the Program of All-Inclusive

Care for the Elderly (PACE) throughout the Commonwealth, and to serve as a health care technical expert to

PACE sites with backup as needed for all unit staff and supervisors.

Conduct state readiness reviews(SRR), trial period reviews (TPR), quality management reviews (QMR), focused reviews (FR), and technical advisory visits (TAV), as well as individual satisfaction and quality assurance surveys, to determine that the criteria for reimbursement and the health, safe, and welfare of the program participants are met according to federal and state regulations and policy and procedures for the PACE program.

Assist the Integrated Care Division in ensuring PACE organizations’ compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Assurances.

The business needs for this position have in office requirements to include but are not limited to attending scheduled in-person meetings and may require travel to include overnight.

Minimum Qualifications

Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications :

Considerable experience in analyzing medical records, including interpreting and applying medical terminology.

Experience or knowledge meeting the needs of older adults with physical impairments in a work or home environment.

Considerable work-related experience, knowledge, and training in conducting program evaluation and analysis.

Experience rendering a decision on unusual circumstances involving policy interpretation.

Work-related experience utilizing Microsoft and healthcare software programs.

Experience interpreting and applying federal and state rules, regulations, and laws in the administration of programs.

Experience in meeting stringent deadlines.

Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Considerations

Competitive candidates should meet these additional considerations :

Healthcare experience (Social Services or Clinical background).

Knowledge of the PACE program and Long-Term Care Eligibility.

Experience using the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).

Project Management experience.
