Campus Statement
(PC) welcomed its first students as one of the first institutions of higher education in Maricopa County on September 13, 1920. PC's founders envisioned the College as a place of inclusion as a non-segregated institution. In 1962, the (MCCCD) was established, with PC as the flagship institution. MCCCD is now one of the largest community college districts in the nation.

Job Summary
Provides comprehensive support for student service programs, including advisement, processing, and referring information resources. Performs advanced program support tasks with a primary focus on student advising, counseling, and graduation processing. Coordinates office workflow and conducts training for other staff members.
Essential Functions
60% - Performs the Admissions, Records & Registration (A,R&R) processes (app / admit / matriculate students, lawful presence, ID authentication, residency, enrollment activities, etc.), maintains incompletes and course substitutions; follows up with faculty regarding records issues; prepares records for permanent storage and / or disposal; evaluates transcripts and records them in the Student Information System; completes graduation processing and confers certificates / degrees; calculates GPAs; determines prior credit / transcripts; maintains various admissions and records reports related to grading and records retention; responsible for degree verify reporting; serves on commencement committee; serves s primary contact for GradTrax and ongoing support for sessions leading to student success; plays an integral part in commencement; processes and clears National Student Clearinghouse errors (including degree verify); provides support for online chat, phones, emails, etc.
30% Provides backup support to other Student Services Specialist Sr. within the department, conducting research, creating reports, and cleansing data (including tuition calculation errors, program plan stack errors, grading errors, enrollment errors, graduating posting errors, anomalies, drop / withdrawal corrections, etc.). Provides backup support for mass enrollment activities, for Online Class Permissions Tool, PeopleSoft functions, for gathering and summarizing data of departmental activities, for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) reporting, etc.
10% - Assists with front-line admissions, records, and registration duties when needed and other support units. Performs related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
OR
High School Diploma / GED and four (4) years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
