QMHP-CS II, Lorena School Base (Lorena, TX)

Under the immediate supervision of the Director of School Based Mental Health Services, performs assigned therapy and skills training services.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED :

• Interviews consumers, their relatives, and other interested individuals and agencies to obtain social and developmental histories to discover social / psychological problems.
• Performs therapeutic treatment with consumers or relatives of consumers, under supervision of the Unit Director or Supervisor in consultation with a psychiatrist or other physician.
• Participates as a team member in conferences designed for the diagnosis and treatment of consumers.
• Participates in the interpretation of methods and procedures to agencies responsible for carrying out recommendations of the clinic.
• May supervise volunteers and students / interns.
• Acts as liaison between all appropriate agencies, Lorena ISD, physicians, relatives of consumers and community resources for purposes of admission, treatment and discharge planning.
• May participate in budget planning, unit administration, and program development.
• Increases knowledge of Psychotherapeutic, Skill streaming, and social work concepts by attendance.
• Performs related work as required.
