Technical / Sales Support Manager – Ocula

Contract : Full-Time, Permanent
Ocula is a dedicated partitions business providing an end-to-end service, from survey through supply to installation. As we continue to grow and expand our specialist offering, we are seeking a Technical / Sales Support Manager to lead our technical and training functions, provide best-in-class support to our sales network and customers, and uphold our reputation for quality and performance.
In this role, you will combine technical expertise with strong communication and commercial awareness to ensure our products are correctly specified, installed, and promoted across the market. You will own technical documentation, deliver training programmes, and act as a trusted specialist advisor to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing :
Technical Management
- Lead the technical support function across the full Ocula product portfolio.
- Provide expert guidance on system design, specification, compliance, and installation.
- Develop, maintain and improve technical literature, CAD details, and certification documents.
- Liaise with architects, designers, contractors, and installers.
- Oversee product testing, certification, and regulatory compliance (fire, acoustic, structural).
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners on product development and updates.
Training & Development
Design and deliver structured product and installation training for internal teams and delivery partners.Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and digital learning content.Deliver both remote and face-to-face training sessions across the business.Evaluate training delivery and continuously enhance training programmes.Champion technical learning and professional development within the organisation.Sales & Customer Support
Support the sales team with technical expertise during tenders and project design.Support the growing Fire Screen business, including site-specific certification.Provide technical presentations and site-based advice on major projects.Attend client meetings, industry events, and exhibitions as a technical representative.Respond to complex technical queries promptly and professionally.Work with marketing to create technical case studies and product materials.Deliver product awareness sessions to architects, designers, and industry partners.Leadership & Influence
Lead and develop the technical and training function.Set KPIs and service standards for technical support.Work collaboratively with Regional Partition Managers and Regional Directors.Represent the technical function in management forums and support strategic decision-making.What you’ll need :
Experience in specification, technical support or technical sales within the partitions, glazing or wider construction industry.Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and produce take-offs.Experience pricing and supporting tender submissions.Strong customer-facing skills and ability to influence stakeholders.Confidence engaging with major contractors through to subcontractors.Working knowledge of CAD (desirable).Strong understanding of fire regulations and building compliance.Commercial acumen with a passion for delivering technical excellence.What we offer :
