What you’ll do : As a Traveling Superintendent, you will be working on exciting projects in different markets, often with extended overnight stays out of town. Travel may range from 90 miles from a local rand
office, to other states across the country.The Superintendent is responsible for all the field staff on a project and will make sure that projects are built according to plans and specifications. They will supervise work of all subcontractors, vendors, laborers and other project stakeholders. They are responsible, along with Project Manager for having the material, tools / equipment, information and staff requirements on the jobsite in the proper place in a timely fashion. The Superintendent handles all correspondence and forms required by the rand
office, e.g., daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, accident reports, etc. They will monitor the work being performed, direct the subcontractors and schedule all work according to the requirements of the project schedule. The superintendent effectively utilizes management skills in directing supervision of subcontractors, along with coordinating subcontractor’s activities within the scope of their duties. This position also requires excellent communication skills, both internal with the randproject team, as well as externally with the client team. The Superintendent is responsible for promoting rands reputation for exceptional client service.ABOUT rand

High School Diploma or experience working in the trades is required; college experience preferred.Must have 6 years’ experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior projectsOSHA 30Capable of managing projects up to $10MFirst Aid and CPR CertificationOSHA Competent Persons Training preferredPreferred Candidates will also possess the following skills :
Professional demeanor.Excellent communication skills.Strong problem-solving and negotiating skills.Ability to develop strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and others.Continual determination for self-improvement.Procore experience.Proven track record of client satisfaction and project profitability as a traveling superintendentExcellent safety record.PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
