Stratez Infotech is seeking to fill the Application Developer Terraform Enterprise Specialist position in Reston, VA / Plano, TX.

One of our clients in Reston, VA / Plano, TX needs an Application Developer Terraform Specialist.

• Position : Application Developer Terraform Enterprise Specialist
• Location : Reston, VA / Plano, TX-Hybrid
• Travel : None anticipated
• Position Type : Contract

The position :

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer (Developer V) to design, develop, and maintain enterprise infrastructure automation solutions using Terraform Enterprise. This role requires strong expertise in Terraform module development, policy enforcement using Sentinel, and hands-on experience with CI / CD automation in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support secure, compliant, and scalable infrastructure provisioning.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain Terraform modules in the Terraform Enterprise Private Module Registry (PMR) to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Create and enforce Sentinel policies to ensure compliance and governance in infrastructure deployments.
• Perform system-level analysis, design, development, and unit testing of software applications based on user requirements and design documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects during various testing cycles.
• Ensure adherence to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices across projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• 510 years of software development experience across relevant platforms.
• Proficiency in Terraform Enterprise module and Sentinel policy development.
• Strong understanding of HashiCorp Configuration Language (HCL).
• Familiarity with GitLab CI / CD pipelines.
• Experience in Python programming preferred.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices and SDLC methodologies.

Education & Certifications :

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
• AWS and Terraform professional certifications are highly desirable.
