Deputy Assistant Director of Partnerships
The position exists to provide oversight and leadership assistance for the Outdoor Recreation and Lands (RLAD) Branch in conjunction with the Assistant Director (AD) of RLAD. The Deputy Assistant Director of Partnerships is responsible and accountable for overall direction, integration and execution of the CPW's statewide partnership initiatives. Program, programmatic, and administrative areas of emphasis include : Regional Partnership Initiative, Philanthropy Program, Outdoor Equity Grant Program, and the Partners in the Outdoors Coordinator. Manage, direct, and / or supervise a variety of functional activities and staff that support the delivery of CPW programs and services to our customers and stakeholders of CPW. Program / activity management may include overseeing budgets; reviewing and evaluating work activities of the assigned; ensuring program coordination between the branch and participation in groups, committees, boards, and projects consistent with statewide program administration. This position will seek to integrate policy and resource balancing across programs.
The position serves as CPW's lead staff for the Colorado Outdoor Strategy (COS), aligning agency programs and initiatives to advance shared conservation, outdoor recreation, and climate goals. The incumbent will manage staff and fiscal resources, oversee program development, facilitate cross-sector collaboration, and represent CPW at the highest levels with partners, stakeholders, and policymakers. Other duties as assigned.
