Job Description :
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Christian Brothers University (CBU) invites applications for the position of Head Women's Soccer Coach to direct, organize, and administer all aspects of the Women's Soccer program at the NCAA Division II level, while fostering a high-quality student-athlete experience in academics, athletics, leadership, and community engagement.
The Head Women's Soccer Coach is responsible for leadership and oversight of all phases of the program, including but not limited to :
- Compliance & Program Administration Ensure full compliance with all CBU, GSC, and NCAA Division II rules, regulations, and policies.Develop and implement team policies, operating procedures, and competitive standardsMaintain accurate records, adhere to departmental processes, and foster a culture of integrity and accountability.
- Student-Athlete Development Monitor, support, and encourage the academic progress, retention, and graduation of all student-athletes.Promote the holistic development, well-being, and personal growth of team members.Ensure student-athletes maintain continuing eligibility for NCAA competition.
- Coaching & Competitive Success Coordinate practice planning, skill development, strength and conditioning, game strategy, scouting, and overall program philosophy.Provide on-field coaching during practices, competitions, and designated team activities.Develop a competitive schedule in alignment with athletic department goals and budget guidelines.
- Recruiting & Roster Management Identify and recruit prospective student-athletes consistent with CBU's academic standards and athletic profile.Maintain relationships with high school, club, and community coaches to build a sustainable recruiting pipeline.Coordinate on-campus visits, evaluate talent, and manage scholarship / roster allocations.
- Budget, Fundraising & External Relations Exercise fiscal responsibility in all budgetary and purchasing decisions.Plan, coordinate, and participate in fundraising initiatives in support of the Women's Soccer program.Engage in community service projects and promote strong departmental and university relationships.Facilitate and operate camps, clinics, and outreach programs.
- Supervision & Additional Duties Evaluate and supervise assistant coaches and support staff.Coordinate team schedules, travel arrangements, and practice sessions.Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Requirements :
Master's degree and a minimum of three years of Head Coaching experience, OROne to three years of professional coaching or professional playing experience.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and perform effectively in interviews.Travel to practices, competitions, recruiting events, and training sites.Work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind).Perform duties that may require extended hours, evening / weekend work, and physical exertion.Ability to lift and transport equipment, set up training environments, and utilize tools necessary for field and facility preparation.Ability to navigate uneven terrain, heights, or areas near athletic equipment or vehicle traffic.Appropriate use of safety equipment and adherence to risk-management protocols.Additional Information :
