POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the administrative supervision of the Behavioral Health Program Director and clinical supervision of the BCBA, the Registered Behavior Technician is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the program and direct behavioral intervention. This includes directly interacting with patients and staff to model and provide appropriate intervention techniques and strategies for patients with intellectual developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. The behavior health technician is responsible for the collection of preference assessments and any additional data required or requested by the treatment team. Additionally, the behavioral health technician will monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being and report to clinical staff and will participate in clinical meetings regarding behavior modifications.
JOB-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
Under the clinical supervision and direction of the BCBA :
- Responsible for implementing behavioral interventions during patients’ everyday individual and program activities.
- Facilitates patient’s behavior plan and completes 1 : 1 session as assigned by the BCBA
- Implements groups and documents patient participation and response
- Responsible for completing and recording patient daily behavioral logs and other behavioral data collection as directed by the BCBA
- Works with rehabilitation services on promoting functional independence and may assist patients with compliance of activities of daily living. (e.g., bathing, oral hygiene, care of hair, oral feeding, positioning, transfers, etc.). May assist if there is a patient need for behavioral intervention.
- Performs walking rounds and provides direct behavioral interventions when needed

EDUCATION :
Bachelor level experience preferredHigh school Degree or equivalentEXPERIENCE :
at least three (3) years of experience in working in an Applied Behavior Analysis settingPrevious or current licensure as a registered behavioral technicianLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION :
Certified in SAMA within 30 days of employmentCertified in AHA BLS
