JOB OVERVIEW :
The Mental Health Professional (MHP) is a master’s level position responsible for direct therapy with older teens and young adults enrolled in the Center for Autism’s STEP program.
STEP programming is specifically designed to promote clients’ engagement in the community and support their transition to post-secondary education and / or the workplace. Treatment primarily focuses on teaching pre-vocational and independent life skills. These activities can include performing household chores, traveling in the community, preparing meals, learning about adolescence and puberty, shopping, socialization, and other expectations of living independently in a community.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS :
Must meet one of the following : Have a master’s degree in a human services field such as social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, etc. and have 1+ years of direct care experience or supervised practice
Be licensed in Pennsylvania as a professional counselor (LPC), clinical social worker (LCSW), or marriage and family therapist (LMFT)
PAY GRADE : 17
