We’re Hiring : Field Technician – Telecom Installations (VOIP)

Our parent company, a technology implementation firm with expertise in Enterprise, Data,   Wireless, Telecommunications, Government, and Cloud Network Services, has an immediate   opening for a Field Technician.

This project-based role involves installing VoIP lines for business specialty services (security,   fax, elevator, etc.) in the Tallahassee, Florida area. Work is based on client scheduling and   availability.

�� Responsibilities Include :

Running low-voltage cable to the demarc

Installing VoIP equipment and UPS battery backup

Performing punch-downs, wire wrapping, and stitching

Testing voice and internet connectivity

Completing site surveys and reports with professionalism and accuracy

Supporting clients on-site with high-quality service

Mounting telecom hardware

Required Skills  Qualifications :

1–3+ years telecom installation experience (low-voltage cabling required)

Familiarity with VoIP, UPS backups, and connectivity testing

Experience with punch-downs, cable routing, and telecom hardware

Able to work independently on equipment additions / removals

Able to analyze and resolve specs / drawings

Must be customer-focused, professional, and reliable

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel in Tallahassee, FL area

Ability to climb ladders and lift tools / materials as needed

Basic computer skills for reporting / notes

Preferred Experience :

Telecom Power, Rectifiers, Inverters, and Batteries

LTE Router installs and location planning

Commercial Business Voice / VoIP installs

Surveying and roof penetration for wiring

CAT3 / CAT5 / CAT6 cabling

Voice demarc wiring (66 / 110 blocks)

This is a 1099 independent contractor role paid per completed install. Travel required throughout   Tallahassee, Florida area.
