Environmental Engineer - Wastewater

Location : Salt Lake City, Utah

Schedule : Full time - Year round

Travel : Roughly 30%

Currently seeking individuals to fill the position as an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Systems Environmental Engineer . Individuals with experience with wastewater systems are strongly urged to apply.

National engineering firm which offers complete planning, process engineering, facility development, and construction management services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, equipment layouts, piping and sewer design, and equipment lists.
• Perform water and mass balance calculations.
• Develop project schedules and manage budgets.
• Specify and procure equipment; develop RFQs.
• Oversee installation and system startup.
• Obtain and evaluate site-specific permits, including industrial-user wastewater discharge permits, air permits, SPCC permits, and wastewater characterization and data analysis.
• Coordinate permit evaluations and scheduling with site requirements.
• Understand and apply permit-related requirements for wastewater and industrial processes.
• Engage with project teams to ensure compliance and successful system operation.
