Application Technician

Job Title : Vehicle Application Technician

Reports To : Director of Audio

Department : Product Development

Vehicle Application Technician to bring precision and creativity to our cutting-edge aftermarket automotive products. You'll be the expert who ensures our tech integrates seamlessly across a wide array of vehicles-championing performance, fitment, and user experience every step of the way. This is your chance to transform ideas into road-ready reality and work with some of the most advanced audio and safety systems in the industry.

What You'll Do

  • Install and test prototype and pilot-run products, including premium audio systems, integration interfaces, lighting kits, and driver safety technologies
  • Validate product compatibility with a focus on wire harness routing, electrical load distribution, mounting strategies, and overall vehicle fitment
  • Document installation methods, integration challenges, and recommended improvements for product refinement and release
  • Collaborate with CAD and design engineers to confirm mechanical clearances, create mounting solutions, and support production-ready designs
  • Benchmark competitive products and evaluate real-world performance across OEM and aftermarket platforms
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive internal vehicle database for integration notes, fitment logs, and change tracking
  • Assist in prototype builds, shop-based evaluations, and field testing to verify product function and durability

What You Bring

Required :

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive electronics, custom installations, or vehicle integration
  • Strong understanding of 12V electrical systems, CAN bus, MOST networks, and OEM integration protocols
  • Ability to read and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic engineering drawings
  • Expertise in vehicle disassembly / reassembly for fitment, mounting, and testing purposes
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting instincts
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools, scan interfaces, and lab equipment
  • Clear communicator with top-tier documentation skills
  • Collaborative attitude with a track record of supporting cross-functional engineering teams
  • Bonus Points :

  • Experience with 3D printers, CNC machines, or laser cutters to support prototyping and fixtures
  • Technical certifications like MECP or ASE
  • Valid driver's license and comfort working in shop and garage environments
