Our client is currently seeking a Pharmacist in Abilene, TX

Position Overview

The Pharmacist plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy operations. This position is responsible for executing pharmacy management objectives, overseeing drug dispensing processes, and delivering accurate medication services to healthcare centers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to production quotas and deadlines.
• Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including DEA and HIPAA guidelines, as well as third-party payer requirements.
• Supervise pharmacy staff to maintain accurate order entry, secure operations, and timely delivery schedules.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of prescriptions, labels, and packaging for both new and refill orders.
• Oversee preparation and / or supervision of sterile IV drug products and solutions.
• Assist with controlled substance management, including ordering, handling, documentation, and maintaining perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs.
• Provide coverage during evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as required.
• Monitor and clear workflow dashboards daily.
• Uphold departmental policies on safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
