Data Visualization Developer
Our client is seeking a Data Visualization Developer for a contract to hire opportunity. The Data Visualization Developer enables and executes development of clinical, and quality related outcomes measures, analyzes available data, produces reporting and dashboards in the Clinical and Quality space. Performs the collection, analysis, and dissemination of relevant information to management, support, and operations teams to assist in sound decision making. Develops, documents, and facilitates maintenance of clinical and quality related data, models, dashboards, and other reporting mechanisms. Lead or facilitate requirements gathering with business partners and across multiple development teams (apps, engineering, security etc.). Serves in a Technical Product Owner role with IT, delivering business and, where possible, technical specifications in support of data visualizations and analysis for ongoing Clinical Quality efforts.
Essential Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Lead execution of features within the Clinical Data Analytics Product Roadmap including development of reporting dashboards that are useful for operations and Quality professionals in reporting quality analytics and clinical outcomes to drive improvement in quality of care and services
- Design systems / reporting that meet business needs
- Play a leading role and working with Data Engineering in data discovery, accessing and understanding relevant data, building datasets using software engineering best practices, data management fundamentals, data storage principles and operational excellence best practices.
- Analyze source systems, define underlying data sources and transformation requirements, design suitable data models and document the design / specifications
- Demonstrate passion for quality and productivity by use of efficient development techniques, standards and guidelines
- Effectively communicate with various teams and stakeholders, escalate technical and managerial issues at the right time and resolve conflicts
- Provide education on the use and navigation of various products and reports to stakeholders
- Lead participant in the development of measurement methodologies, data collection standards and key performance indicators of quality across all lines of business and across all company systems, coordinates and collaborates on the identification of pertinent data sources and ensures integrity of data and reporting.
- Solicits feedback, requirements, and root cause analysis from various sources, vetting through clinical & quality department and interested stakeholders to drive improvement in information management
Required Education and Experience :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related topics OR related business intelligence experience3+ years relational databases and dimensional modeling5+ years business intelligence experience3+ years SSMS (SQL)Experience with data visualization tools, dashboard design techniques for effective data analysis and presentation (3+ Years of Power BI required, Tableau desired)Product management experienceAgile methodology experienceData Bricks experience preferredExperience with Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Warehouse) a plusAbility to perform ad hoc analysis in excel and / or querying Azure SQL dbAbility to extract, grasp and translate business requirements in the full context of the clinical and quality efforts.
