We are looking for a Part-Time Payroll & HR Specialist to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll processing, managing HR administrative tasks, and supporting employee onboarding and offboarding processes. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative and growing environment. This part-time role will require at least 20 hours of work a week. Must be available to work on site Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
Responsibilities :
- Process semi-monthly payroll with precision and timeliness, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding procedures, including coordinating necessary documentation and equipment.
- Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure accurate payroll data and seamless HR operations.
- Serve as the point of contact for new team members, assisting with paperwork and initial setup.
- Provide payroll-related information and reports to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Partner with technology providers to ensure employees receive the appropriate tools and equipment.
- Maintain employee records and ensure all HR-related documentation is up to date.
- Support department heads with payroll and HR inquiries.
- Assist in implementing business casual workplace policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of HR operations within a growing company.
- Proven experience in processing payroll with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with HR administration, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Proficient in using payroll software and working with third-party HR solutions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with handling employee records and maintaining confidentiality.
- Knowledge of business casual workplace norms.
- Availability to work on-site with flexible hours, preferably Tuesday through Thursday.
