The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is : Grade : Professional 305 Pay Range : $54,800.00 - $82,200.00

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Edit camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, music, and / or motion graphics into a coherent, compelling storyline or visual narrative.
  • Improve picture quality and color correct video using digital tools.
  • Create rough cuts, graphics and other video elements for review by Video Producer and other internal clients.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities :

  • Mixture of practical and creative skills in the video medium.
  • Basic knowledge of video cameras, lights, audio, etc.
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good sense of timing and visual awareness.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others.

  • Job Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in film studies or multimedia.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in video editing and / or film production.
  • A reel or online portfolio of video productions you have worked on.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
