Autodesk is seeking a product attorney who thrives in a dynamic business environment. You combine deep curiosity with legal and risk analysis skills, enjoy partnering directly with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, and run toward complex problems. You have experience distilling complex legal issues into actionable advice.
You willprovidea broad range of legal support to our desktop and cloud development teams within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry and partner with the business to enable Autodesk's platformand AIvision. This position will report to a Senior Director role within Product Legal. This position will be hybrid and basedout of ourDenver, Portland, or Toronto offices.
Responsibilities :
Participate as a business partnertoleaders and teams serving the AEC industry and build a trusted advisor relationship. Engage with team members at all levels, including product management, software engineers, AI / ML experts, UX, data scientists,analytics,marketingand business strategy.
Support productdevelopment,readinessand release byidentifyingand driving resolution of issues related tointellectual property, licensing, open source, datause, Machine Learning / AI,confidentiality,privacy,marketing, competition, regionalization, and other legal and regulatory issues.
Draft,reviewand negotiate a variety of agreements critical to our product teams, including those relating to cloud service offerings, inbound technology licensing,ML / AI tools and services,other vendor services, developer programs, open-source projects, and technology and strategic partnerships.
Learn and advise on the legal implications ofnew technologiesand business models.
Help develop and implement programs for policy and process improvements to enable teams to move faster and smarter.
Support M&A activities for specified product areas, including due diligence reviews, advising on transaction structure, execution, and integration matters, with a focus on intellectual property and go-to-market issues.
Minimum Qualifications :
You have a JD (Juris Doctorate) degree from an ABA accredited university and are in good standing as a member of the Bar
You have4+yearsof experience providing legal support to software and cloud service businesses, either at a law firm or corporate legal department
You have interest inAI / ML,intellectual property,datauseand technology transactions
You are a collaborative team player who excels at finding solutions in a fast-paced work environment
Youpreferablyhave a background in engineering / applied science / computer science
You preferably have experience with privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA / CPRA

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $147,500 and $238,590. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
