The Roger Bacon Academy is an education management organization that manages multiple charter schools. The following mission outlines the expectations of all employees at the school level as well as employees of The Roger Bacon Academy in providing support to the schools.

Department Head of Administration / Chief Financial Officer - Job Responsibilities

Purpose :

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of The Roger Bacon Academy, the Department Head of Administration / Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will set the financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, The Roger Bacon Academy's overall strategy. S / he will lead and develop the Finance Operations function which oversees and manages all finance, accounting and reporting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, and profit and loss reporting. The CFO oversees all activities related to annual regulatory audits, tax compliance, and cash flow planning. S / he ensures that the required systems, policies and procedures are in place to support effective, efficient and compliant finance operations. The CFO will assist with development and execution of strategic initiatives and long-term planning efforts. As a member of the senior management team, the CFO will work closely with department heads and the school board of directors.

The position of Department Head of Administration / CFO will be required to travel as needed to the campuses of the schools managed by The Roger Bacon Academy. Additionally, the position is a 12-month RBA position and follows the RBA calendar.
