OEM Machine Builder and Rigger

Overview

Step into a hands-on role where precision, safety, and craftsmanship come together. Reporting to the Assembly Manager, you will assemble fabricated and machined components and bring complex industrial machinery to life—from small subassemblies to large, heavy equipment.

A Day in the Life

Your day starts by reviewing build schedules and blueprints with the Assembly Manager. You select the right tools and materials, then move to the floor to assemble components with a keen eye for fit, function, and safety. Throughout the day, you independently rig and load trucks with an overhead crane, verify tolerances with a tape measure, and consult schematics to diagnose and solve mechanical challenges. Before anything leaves your area, you perform a final inspection to ensure it meets our quality standards. You complete monthly safety training, support both internal teams and external customers, provide backup where needed, and leave your workspace clean and organized—all while championing BCT’s Culture and Core Values.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble fabricated and machined parts into complete machinery and complex subassemblies.
• Rig and load outgoing trucks using overhead cranes—working independently and safely.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to execute advanced assembly tasks.
• Identify the proper tools, equipment, and methods to meet production schedules.
• Conduct final inspections to confirm parts meet quality requirements.
• Complete required monthly safety training and follow all plant safety protocols.
• Support internal stakeholders and external customers; provide backup assistance as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Contribute to BCT’s Culture and Core Values.
• Perform basic welding when applicable (preferred, not required).
