Raytheon is hiring a Software Task Manager to support our teams in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. You will work within the Ground & Maritime Defense Radar Software Department on the Patriot Routing Logic Radio Interface Unit (RLRIU) Software Development Team. Patriot is the world's pre-eminent air defense system, and we are currently developing Patriot communications software in support of new system capabilities.

What you will do :

• Plan and coordinate Software Development activities to ensure completion within schedules and budgets.
• Monitor software development progress and resolve issues should any arise.
• Participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
• Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
• Lead and mentor a small team of software developers.
• Report ongoing status to senior leadership via quarterly tracking books.
• Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
• Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
• This position requires onsite presence and extensive interaction with other groups including Systems Design engineering, System Integration and Test, and the Software Development Team.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Off hours testing (2nd or 3rd shift) occasionally may also be required.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
