Senior Project Manager

STV is seeking a Senior Project Manager for either our San Antonio, Dallas or Fort Worth, TX locations. This position performs advanced and complex transportation engineering work in one or more functional areas such as planning, project development and design, construction, transportation / traffic operations and maintenance. Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. Work requires contact with governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.

Essential Duties

• Assists Project Manager with construction contract administration matters.
• Assists in developing and / or monitoring budgets.
• Oversees construction and audit records.
• Analyzes and assists in the resolution of contract problems and disputes.
• Monitors contractors' compliance with plans and specifications.
• Reviews shop drawings, plans, specifications, estimates, supplemental agreements, and change order requests.
• Assesses and reports actual project progress versus planned progress to determine trends and variances for complex projects.
• Resolves differences between contractors and inspectors.
• Reviews change orders, supplemental agreements, memorandum agreements and extra work orders, reviews monthly and final estimates prior to submittal.
• Resolve design / field issues.
• Ensures that the work is executed on time and on budget and in accordance with the client's requirements and within company policies and procedures.
• Is responsible for reporting project cost and quality control activities to the PM.
• Develops and / or reviews engineering related documents, correspondence, reports and remediation plans.
• Reviews Contractor project schedules and reports project progress.
• Represents Client in the field and delivers project deliverables.
• Expected to perform project field visits regularly or work at project field offices.

Minimum Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science bachelor's or higher degree accepted by TX PELS.

Experience : 10-15 YEARS in transportation engineering, or related construction engineering experience. TxDOT Experience is preferred. Working Knowledge of TxDOT specifications, processes, and policies.

Licenses and Certifications :

Professional engineers licensed in another state, but not currently licensed in the State of Texas, must (1) meet the license requirements of the State of Texas Engineering Practices Act, (2) obtain a professional engineering license from the State of Texas within six (6) months of the date of hire, and (3) sign an agreement to that effect as a condition of employment.

Supervisory Experience : No supervisory experience required.

Compensation Range : $127,400.42 - $169,867.22
