The HVAC Service Apprentice supports licensed HVAC Service Technicians by assisting with the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and installation of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This is a hands-on learning position designed to provide real-world experience and on-the-job training while developing the skills and knowledge necessary to become a licensed HVAC technician.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist HVAC Service Technicians in performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC equipment including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, mini-splits, and air handlers.

Learn to identify equipment issues and gain understanding of refrigerant systems, electrical controls, and airflow principles.

Carry tools and parts to and from the truck; clean up job sites and service areas.

Support accurate documentation of work performed through written Summary of Findings and mobile applications.

Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold the company's commitment to excellent customer service.

Attend regular training sessions and participate in educational opportunities to develop trade knowledge and skills.

Comply with all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements :

High school diploma or GED.

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the HVAC trade.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.

Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks in all weather conditions.

Must be able to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications :

Enrollment in or completion of a certified HVAC training program or technical school.

Previous experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical trades is a plus.
