Job Title : IT Contracts & Procurement Specialist

Location : Houston, TX 77042

Duration : 11-month contract

Pay Range : $50 - $60 / hr.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts & Procurement Specialist to support the Information Technology organization in sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor contracts for software, hardware, and IT services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on managing complex agreements, driving procurement strategies, and collaborating cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, including solicitation, negotiation, contract award, and post-award administration for IT goods and services.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements, contracts, amendments, and other related documents.
  • Support day-to-day activities such as invoice resolution, contract administration, and vendor relationship management.
  • Align with internal stakeholders to deliver effective procurement strategies and achieve value across IT categories.
  • Ensure compliance with internal contracting standards, policies, and retention procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement and contract lifecycle processes.
  • Collaborate with Legal on clause compliance and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Manage periodic audit support and document readiness.
  • Resolve disputes related to pricing, delivery, or quality with professionalism and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or IT contracts.
  • Experience with contract negotiation, purchase orders, and vendor sourcing.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Procurement experience in the energy or technology industries.
  • Proficiency with SAP and Icertis (or similar contract management tools).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate critical decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and business value.
