M ichelin Starred Chef   Trevor Teich,   known for his success   w ith Claudia in Bucktown , brought his culinary expertise to   A stor Club .   A stor Club ,   located in an historic underground speakeasy in the Gold Coast,  offers a modern take on classic French cuisine. With crisp linens, flickering candles, and   g olden leaf sconces , the ambiance sets the stage for Chef   T eich's   vibrant cooking. We bridge the gap between the City of Light and the   W indy City , proving that the essence of fine French dining transcends borders.

Because we are a private members club, and not open to the general public, you will notice our servers earn a set hourly wage that is not based on gratuity / tips, that is much higher than the standard lower tipped wage. This eliminates the uncertainty and unpredictability of working for fluctuating tips. This also ensures that our servers earn a good living wage, and that we deliver a consistent service and experience to our members and their guests. As an Astor Club Server, your role is to make sure that our members have an amazing experience every time. Possessing natural hospitality charm, we will give you a platform to grow, have fun, and make an impact. Your main responsibility is to ensure that members have an enjoyable experience. You will deliver excellent service from initial greeting, taking orders, making recommendations, and bidding farewell.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Ability to multi-task a myriad floor responsibilities - including table marking, proper wine glass placement & general table maintenance
  • Ability to speak confidently about menu items and offer guidance in the selection of menu items and beverages (spirits, cocktails, wine)
  • 2 -4   years of experience in   f ine dining  restaurants , French cuisine   preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • P unctual, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Yes mentality
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency, attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure and being respectful
