EDUCATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION AND / OR CERTIFICATION

1.Post Baccalaureate training in anatomic and clinical pathology preferred.

2.New York State licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist (or Technician) or Certified Histological Technician or Pathologist Assistant.

3.Certification by American Association of Pathologists' Assistants (AAPA), highly desirable

4.Graduation from a Baccalaureate Pathologists' Assistant program or successful completion of a Master’s program from an approved school of Pathologists' Assistants. OR

5.Bachelor's degree in sciences with background in physiology and anatomy with three to five years experience in pathology.
