Quality Inspector 2

Armstrong has an opening for a Quality Inspector 2 on first shift. Armstrong Rapid Manufacturing has been in business for over 50 years in the East Syracuse NY area. The Salary Range for our Inspector 2 job is $18.00-$21.00 per hour. Refer to the job description below :

Summary / Objective : Responsible for performing visual and gauge inspection of plastic parts.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs first piece, in process and final inspection to blueprint specifications
• Verifies parts are compliant with process sheet specifications
• Visually inspects parts for cosmetic imperfections such as flash, voids, texture, gloss
• level, etc. and makes minor corrections as necessary
• Verifies correct number, placement and proper depth of inserts
• Regardless of location(s) of quality inspection tasks, quality checks and recheck on rework are conducted, documented, and communicated to supervisor and direct manager.
• If an item / good continually fails quality checks, all documented reflects this communication to supervisor and direct manager is essential as decisions, meetings, and communication from an MRB standpoint occur.
• Documents actions by completing all required paperwork and quality logs.
• Adheres to all safety policies and practices, consistently uses personal protective equipment, and practices good housekeeping.
• Maintains regular on time attendance and adheres to company policies, procedures , and standards of conduct.
• Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system.
• Applies classroom and on the job post training information, knowledge, skills, and abilities consistently in a quality-oriented manner (wherein the KSAs are part of the jobs tasks, duties and other tasks as requested).
• Performs other tasks as directed.
