Position Summary

Flexi is seeking qualified candidates for its Staff Accountant position. This position requires being located in or near the Fairfield County, Connecticut area with certain required responsibilities being performed at the Company’s headquarters in Shelton, CT on a weekly basis. The Company prefers candidates who are able to work on-site full-time but will also consider applicants who can be present in the office 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end accounting close process, including journal entries and all monthly account reconciliations
  • Assist with reviewing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of all open accounts
  • Assist with processing and payment of all accounts payable
  • Assist with preparation and publishing of GAAP monthly internal financial statements on a timely basis
  • Support month-end and year-end general ledger process using accounting software
  • Assist with annual audit and tax return process with CPA firm
  • Assist with reporting KPIs; manage internal data collection and reporting

Requirements

  • BS degree in accounting required
  • Range of 1-3 years of experience closing GAAP financial statements and 3-5 total years in accounting
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office : Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently, with acute attention to details and deadlines, particularly while working on multiple workstreams
  • Demonstrated ability to review processes with a critical mind to identify points for automation and efficiency opportunities
  • Possess the ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment while displaying strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
