Job Description :

Under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Audiologist, to administer well baby and neonatal screening, assist the SLP in administrations of Fiber optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES), prepare patient for balance testing / speech treatment sessions, assist with hearing conversation and audiology testing. To perform equipment maintenance, FEES scope reprocessing, FEES cart stocking / inventory, hearing aid repair, recordkeeping, clerical duties, and other support functions. To contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders or a related field required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently registered as an Assistant by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA) required. Currently certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
